Contact me to explore ways your organization or agency can collaborate with the Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District. Members of the media, contact me for more information on who we are and what we do.

I oversee the District’s award-winning education team and help teach California Naturalist and Climate Stewards classes. I am the principal photographer for the book “Wildflowers and Important Native Plants of the Inland Empire” published by RCRCD. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from UC Riverside in 2000, and am an avid hiker, videographer and native plant gardener.

I spent more than two decades as a journalist for newspapers in Inland Southern California covering topics from wildfires to super blooms; water issues including mitigation, drought and infrastructure; agriculture; nonprofit groups; and local government and its role in development, encouraging diversity, and protecting historic structures.

I am a certified Environmental Educator through the California Association for Environmental & Outdoor Education and a California Naturalist. I also have certification in Project WET and Project Learning Tree.

I have been a longtime volunteer with the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-space District.
