I grew up in Fontana, Calif. going on weekly hikes in urban spaces and understand why green spaces in the suburbs are so important for personal and ecological health. I have my bachelor's degree from UC Riverside in Sustainability Studies and in Sociology. I have formal and informal experience as an educator with time in the classroom and time in public lands as my classroom.
